¿Qiensave? Release “La Poderosa” Para Todas La Mujeres

Cumbia Urbana group ¿Qiensave? have released several new singles in the last calendar year like Mata De Mota and El DUI. Earlier this month ¿Qiensave? released their latest single, “La Poderosa”. “La Poderosa,” tells the story of a strong woman who knows what she wants and how to get it. La Poderosa was released on International Women’s Day, Monday, March 8, 2021, on all digital platforms.

La Poderosa is an energetic empowering cumbia that tells the story of a strong independent motivated woman. She’s goal-oriented and laser-focused, a woman that knows what she wants and how to get it. Fighting with courage amongst all social barriers and obstacles, the old society may have put in her way. 

When asked, Carlos, singer of ¿Qiensave? said, “Releasing La Poderosa on International Women’s Day was a no-brainer, if you look at our previous work, women have always played an important role in our music in one way or another”. Carlos also went on to say, “When creating this song we knew we were creating it for todas las mujeres poderosas en nuestra vidas, y en todo el mundo”. International Women’s Day is a time when we honor the achievements of women throughout history and across the globe. On this day We invite you to come together and celebrate the fight and resilience many women took up for women’s rights. Additionally, in the last few years, the month of March has become Women’s month.

La Poderosa is a modern cumbia that combines a catchy riff, a groovy bassline, and fun lyrics that tell the story of strong women, making this nueva rola the perfect cumbia to get your body moving to the sound of the beat. The song was written by Alejandro Gomez and Carlos L Cortez, produced by Sam Pura of Panda Studios, in Fremont, CA, composed by Alejandro Gome and arranged by Alejandro Gomez, Carlos L. Cortez, Mario Cortez, Ricardo Cortez, and William Cortez. This song is dedicated to all the tias that did it their way!!
